Dear Writer, Part 2

[This is the second character the previous post mentioned.]

Hey there author-lady,

Do you even know me? I’m feeling seriously left out. I mean, you’re always taking Alexis out to play. It’s like you don’t really care about me; you just threw me in there to bounce Alexis off of, and that hurts, you know? I get that I’m this tough, independent copper chick, but even Doghouse Riley got some lovin’.

You take Lex seriously, but you always forget about me. Her beginning narrative was a damn fairy tale. What did I get? A scolding about how I should listen to my mom more until – whoops! – I kill her with magic. I’ll understand if you want to kill her off, I guess, but at least make it a good story.

Now, I get that you’re inspired by a few places. I do. But you have to get your shit together. Am I the tank? The magician? The tech smarts? Like the lady says to Gypsy, everyone’s gotta have a gimmick. And I… really don’t. Two main characters is tricky, sure, but if you’re going to do it, then you gotta do it right. I’m fabulous on my own, too. Give me a back story so I can stand on my own.

Better luck next time,

Morgana Ripley

  1. I do not know whether it’s just me or if everybody else encountering problems with your blog.
It appears as though some of the written text on your posts are running
off the screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me know if this is happening to them too?
This may be a problem with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Cheers
